Lady Diana. An action shot of Lady Diana in the back of a Mercedes a few minutes before the fatal crash on August 31, 1997. She was trying to avoid the paparazzi. The photo shows her in the backseat with her head turned away, sitting next to Dodi Fayed. Her bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones on the front left, and driver Henri Paul taken minutes before the accident that took the lives of Lady Diana, Fayed, and Paul. Lady Diana was 36 years old.

James Gandolfini. Images of Sopranos star James Gandolfini just a few hours before he passed away from a heart attack on June 19, 2013, during a holiday with his family in Rome.

Joan Rivers. A snapshot of Joan smiling taken the evening before she was scheduled for an under the knife procedure that ultimately caused her death. The great comedy legend died from low oxygen during the procedure according to the New York City medical examiner. She was 81 years old.

David Bowie. A happy photo of David that was shared on his official Instagram two days before his death from cancer. Passing away at the age of 69, he fought a discreet battle with cancer for 18 months.

Johnny Cash. A snapshot of the music legend singing and playing guitar live prior to him passing away from complications of diabetes. Cash was 71 years old.

Steve Irwin. Better known as the "Crocodile Hunter," Steve is seen posing for a photo prior to a dive into the ocean just days before his deadly incident with a stingray on September 4, 2006.

The Jamaican singer, songwriter, musician and guitarist died on May 11, 1981 at the age of 36, in a Miami, Florida hospital. His last words to his son Ziggy were, "Money can't buy life."

Amy Winehouse. A candid of Amy walking down the street near her home in North London, a week before her death. The singer's life was cut short at the age of 27 from accidental alcohol poisoning.

Patrick Swayze. A photo of the world-famous actor (also known for his dancing skills) during his last days before losing the long battle with pancreatic cancer. He passed away only at the age of 57.

Heath Ledger. A snapshot of Heath smiling on the set of his last movie, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, prior to him overdosing on pain killers. Heath was only 28.

Tupac Shakur. A snapshot of Tupac sitting with his manager, Suge Knight, before he was shot and killed in a drive-by in Las Vegas.

Leonard Nimoy. Most known for playing Mr. Spock in Star Trek, this is a snapshot of Leonard not long before he passed away at the age of 83. He lived a long life full of acting, directing, writing, singing, and songwriting.

Freddie Mercury. One of the British singer and songwriter's last known photos taken in 1981, while he was battling bronchial pneumonia resulting from Aids. Freddie died at the age of 45 on Nov. 24, 1991 in his home in Kensington, London.
